I switched over to try it out and it really is a very dramatic effect to change the upper and lower colors. It’s so easy to do as well. Wow!

I like the header functionality, although it exposes my total lack of color sense.
Are there plans to allow importing of content to WordPress.com blogs? (I’d ask somewhere else, but there doesn’t seem to be an obvious forum for such questions…)

Haha yeah, me too. Maybe this will hurt the aesthetics of WordPress.com overall. But we give the people what they want!

Your header is pimped all right, Matt. I got one for myself already. Pimp my blog… nicely said 😀

I’ve never been a fan of Kubrick (sorry!), but this is pretty neat.
Too bad I’m colorblind.

Cyndy, I’ve seen it look great in all black with white text! 😀
I’ve gone for an Aussie theme on mine. Green and gold. I never thought I’d stoop so low. lol. At least I think mine looks better than the Aussie A1GP car’s colours from which I was inspired...

I liked having a completely different picture … not that the gradient colors aren’t cool … I just want to really personlize it! Anyone want to build a template that would make this easier to do then simply remplacing the “kubrick” header image??

I am just waiting for changeable Font and Links color, so I can mix and match and make the perfect color combination 😀

This is a blatant attempt to distract from the issue of completely uncustomizable themes.

No, if it were, we would be able to edit our themes. This is what the community is calling for.
Restore proper theme support, then you will be giving the people what they want – the ability to personlize their personal blog. Come on! There is nothing more self-centered than blogs, yet we are forced to wear a uniform and given the option of wearing any color pin on our lapel?
The comments above show the community is waiting. Waiting for the ability to change font colors. To change image headers. To make their blog, their own.

What are other wordpress.com related blogs (to keep myself informed)? Thanks

I think variety is the key here, everyone responds to different colors differently.
