These are the luxuries I’m taking, stuff I wouldn’t normally travel with: nice pair of shoes, nice belt, two ties, watches, keyboard, mouse, laptop stand, Vonage, extra laptop power cord (surprisingly handy), beard trimmer.

I always try to travel with one carryon if I can get away with it. Of course, this tends to limit me to t-shirts, but that’s fine with me. 🙂

Did you mean to say extra laptop battery, rather than an extra laptop power cord? I can see where an extra battery would be useful.

Power cord! I never carry an extra battery because one goes as long as I need, but it’s nice to be able to just take my laptop out and not have to duck under the desk to plug it in — that’s also why I brought the extra keyboard, mouse, and stand.
