Yes, the line at the San Antonio, TX Apple Store was complete in 36 minutes. Granted the Apple Store employees were extra organized by handing out model cards to make in-store purchase faster. However, I know for a fact the line was not as long as in previous launches. Perhaps selling early in the AM vs. PM is a contributing factor. After all, who wants to get up early? I also think pre-orders, device saturation and folks who bought iPad 2s waiting for next version to upgrade are the reason for such a soft iPad 3 launch.
Should be interesting to see how Wall Street interprets this reception for the iPad 3.
