Perhaps get some reaction out of readers? 🙂 Did you buy any of it or have it recently?
We’re having bison for our Christmas Eve meal (This is when we have the big meal at this time annually.) Thinking about the headline about bison wasn’t as inflammatory….hopefully.
My partner and I are not much of meat eaters. Maybe less than 3-4 times per month. In past it was seafood for Christmas. (We’re not keen on turkey.) But being in Alberta…there is bison, deer, etc.
I remember coming across one day a series of wide screen pictures you took on a trip. Each picture indicated huge talent in photo taking. I have looked for those pictures several times, but could not find again on the net or your site. If you can, point me in the right direction or repost again. Some of the pics would make wonderful header site pics (especially on my blog). A Blessed Christmas Day to you and your family.
Eric, the village postman in Butley (Yorkshire) used to keep a reindeer in his back garden. Like Eric, it had a limp.
Every Christmas Eric would hitch it to a sleigh he’d constructed out of an old Morris Minor and some bits he filched from the church. Dressed up as Santa, he would drive it round the village advertising turkeys at Prendergast´s, the local butcher.
When the reindeer’s limp got too bad its leg had to be amputated, but it still managed to pull the sleigh for a couple more years, till it fell over while the postman was having a Christmas drink in The Mucky Duck.
It had to be put down, only to be served up roasted at The Mucky Duck a few days later on New Year´s Eve.
wow. lol. i would love to know if the people working there knew it was there for all their customers to see…yes it was definitely the best place to put it.
LOL That’s hilarious! I’m sure it scarred many children. Maybe Santa sells off the reindeer to Boar’s Head if they don’t make the grade during the Christmas rush.
Yes! Yes! It really was!

This is amazing! Do we know which grocery store it is from? Also, Boar’s Head is probably the best deli meat I’ve ever had.

Reindeer are delicious! I am partial to the ‘Cajun Style’, but I see that it’s gone up in price since last year.

Thank you, I post most of my more serious photographs here:

The widescreen ones you might be thinking of might be from a post about the headers included in the 2010 theme, which you can find here:
