Importance of Pinging

We may have introduced a bug that was preventing the proper pings getting to Ping-O-Matic, which in turn made it hard for services like Technorati to keep up with the updates from WordPress.com. This post is testing that we fixed it.

  1. Was it a bug in the latest WordPress installations? If so, is there going to be an update soon? (I noticed myself the Technorati hiccups)

  6. Ryan, the bug has been fixed. We’ve confirmed it on both ends.

    And my comment section is the entirely wrong place for support questions. *ahem*
