Matt, I visited Tokyo in 2005 – one of the most amazing places on the planet. I am way overdue a trip, My friend Chris, who I went with, has been over 10 times I believe – certainly around that number. I wished I had planned more trips there but life and other destination have eluded another return thus far. Sitting atop the Park Hyatt Hotel in the New York Bar / New York Grill, one has time to recall the scenes from Lost in Translation, starring Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson a truly “wow!” experience. Helicopter trips at dusk/night are incredible.
I’ve had the good fortune to visit more than once and even outside the “Lost in Translation” experience, it’s still an amazing place. I go back and revisit locations all the time and it’s always different, always changing. Shibuya is the big hub that’s true.
I happened to work in Shibuya last year and had a good experience of commuting between Shinagawa and Shibuya in Yamanotesen! Shibuya is a very fascinating place and one never know how the time passes!!!
